Isn't Show and Tell one of your favorite parts of a meeting? We get to witness the diverse quilts that members have created. During our April S &T, Cindy Kahrs treated us to a Barbara Brackman chevron quilt in shades of orange and gray. She also celebrated the completion of a UFO featuring scrappy, colorful squares. Debbie Conrad had fun making a transportation themed playmat for a friend's grandson. Dona Koster wowed the audience with the beautiful work she did with Holly Berry House, a hand appliqued and embroidered pattern by Annette Anderson. Donna Dawson also shared her skill with applique' in a delightful wintry wall hanging featuring holly and ice skates. Are you ready for more wonderful wool applique'? Check out Karen Spaeth's intricately detailed Advent Calendar and also her Dala Horse.
Our afternoon workshop focused on painting barn quilts, but Loretta Tuma was ahead of the game with her beautiful quilt, a recreation of Midwest Barn Quilts. Mimi Benedict has also been busy with handwork as she showed off her lovely needlepoint quilt. Ruth Prescott's bright and cheerful wonky diamond quilt would warm anyone's heart who used it as a cover.
Finally, we had two more wall hangings finished from our 2022 Flappy Days BOM. Pam Russell arranged her fun little birds in a 12-block quilt, while Sharon Johns created her own design, placing some of her birds in a tree, some in flight, and some sitting on the feeder.
What talent our KPQG members have!
