Konza Prairie Quilters' Guild |
January Show and Share
KPQG managed to squeeze our January meeting in between snow storms...or more accurately... during the beginning of the first in a series of storms.
January Show and Share quilts included three vibrant-colored panels of unique designs that Barbara Wright's husband had gifted her. While Barb admits that she does not often work with panels, she will have to get creative with incorporating these into her quilting plans. We look forward to seeing the colorful quilt that results from these!
Elaine Shannon shared "Flurry" from a pattern offered by Laura Piland at her program last year, a quilt so aptly named for our current weather.
Karen Spaeth's expertise with wool applique' shines again with these adorable mitten ornaments. Family members are sure to be thrilled with these intricately detailed creations!
Lynn Colquhoun's wild, wacky quilt was the product of a workshop she attended. Don't you just love a fun crazy quilt?
Sharon Johns' passion for the outdoors is evident in this cute Welcome wall hanging featuring three bear cubs. Is this a playful game of hide and seek from Mama or an escape from danger?
Vickie Greenwood's trip to Paducah last spring resulted in the purchase of several treasures, including the kit to make this beautiful purse. Vickie's needle-punching skills also led to the completion of this pretty bird perched on a branch small hanging.
