Konza Prairie Quilters' Guild |
Our May Show and Tell included quilts of varied themes: home decor, sports, baby, 3-block challenge, 2022 BOM, and of course, quilts for gifts. While the photos are not available, Sharon Johns showed two runners that she has made to make her table more festive. Barbara Wright's t-shirt quilt will make a great gift for her son, featuring three of his favorite teams. Janet Finney was also busy making gifts: a baby doll quilt and then a Richary Scarry themed quilt for her grandson'e fourth birthday. Jody Cheatum's sytlist-focused quilt will be a gift for her daughter to hand in her salon. Kath y Garvin shared the bird-theme quilt she completed from our 2022 BOM paper-piecing project. Lana Arpin's impressive 12-hour quilt inspired viewers to get busy. (Editor's note: Personally this quilt could have been a 12-day quilt if I had been making it.:) LuAnn Hoover's 3-yard quilt features cool, relaxing colors. Michelle Crisler's stunning quilt was made as a wedding gift for her granddaughter. This photo is far from doing justice to the original design and detailed quilting of this keepsake. Rhonda Willard show this cheerful, multi-colored quilt set on the diagonal that she made for a granddaughter. Whitney Short shared a story from her recent trip to Kenya where she presented Jamima and Naomi with sewing supplies. These young women are beginning their own businesses, so the threads, Sue Spargo Creative Stitching book, and other supplies were much appreciated. Our guild has the most gracious and gifting members who strive to serve as well as sew!
