October Show and Share

I just love Show and Share! We have so much talent in our guild!

*New member, Allison McCullough, shared her talents by showing a cheerful Christmas quilt with embroidered blocks. Allison's second quilt is an eye-catching array of stash fabric used to make blocks within blocks.

*Dona Koster's quilt in shades of blue and cream has offset log cabin blocks. Her artistic talent shines in  her punch needle floral basket liner. Zoom in for the exquisite detail.

*Donna Davis' house will offer a cheerful greeting with the appliqued sled hanging on. her door.  Following up on the September workshop, Donna completed her pumpkin collage quilt, which is ready for adding a seasonal touch to her decor.

*Jody Cheatum offered a "Share" of her trip to Salt Lake City to the Hanging Garden Quilt Show which included 900 quilts. One of her favorite experiences was a fireside chat held by Riley Blake Fabrics featuring Melissa Gilbert. Melissa has designed fabric for R.B. that evokes the Little House on the Prairie days.  Jody shared the sewing machine panel used to embellish her bag, also a souvenir of the Hanging Garden Show.

*Kansas Quilters' Organization is offering this red and white quilt, Modern Prairie, in recognition of their 40th Anniversary. This is a beauty, so contact Lynn Colquoun or Jody Cheatum for opportunity tickets.

*Lori Gray is a weaving and quilter, so this handing little bag was made from the fabric that she wove and transformed into a zippered bag. So many detailed steps are entailed in this creation.

*Nancy Hubbard used all re-claimed fabric to make this pink and green interwoven diamonds. While this is a beautiful keep, Nancy said she will never use this pattern again. :)

*How do you assembly 2,268 two inch squared into a design? Patty Nelson used her skills to do so in this embroidered flower vase quilt with fabrics from Tilda.

*Vevia Beaulieu's family is growing, and she made this baby quilt for a great-grandson. Note the fun, fuzzy sheep which add tactile appeal to this quilt.
