Konza Prairie Quilters' Guild |
Quilts From the Heart is our guild's philanthropic project for which guild members make and donate 150 quilts each year to the Manhattan Crisis Center, which serves victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Crisis Center Director, Kathy Raye, along with two of her administrators, were recipients of the quilts. They shared data of the numbers of guests that they serve, their average length of stay, the resources made available to assist them.
As an expression of appreciation, the Crisis Center awarded the Konza Prairie Quilters Guild the Community Partner of the Year Award!
