August Show and Share

I just love Show and Share! We have so much talent in our guild!

-Dona Koster and Patty Nelson sponsored the 2023 BOM of Star Struck. Each of them showed their completed quilts from this project.

-Patty shared two other beautiful quilts. Prairie Meadow, with its lovely detailed applique and scalloped border was recognized as the Grand Champion quilt at the Pottawatomie County Fair.  Equally detailed and skillfully pieced and quilted is Spring Bouquet which was awarded the Reserve Grand Champion ribbon at the Pottawatomie County Fair. Congratulations, Patty!

-Janet Finney shared an Easter Banner and a trio of small wool pillows. She has been busy with hand work.

-Kathy Triplett showed her expertly completed Kansas Windmills quilt, which earned the Reserve Grand Champion ribbon at the Geary County Fair. Congratulations, Kathy! Just look at all of those points and the lovely half-square triangle border!

-Lana Ellis was given a hand quilted Calendar Barn Quilt by her sister from Texas.  What a special gift to be treasured!

-Lois Hoerner was another County Fair winner. Her Christmas Churn Dash quilt won a ribbon at the Morris County Fair.  Congratulations, Lois!

-Michelle Chrisler shared Woven for Westie, a quilt made by the Wamego Kaw Valley Quilt Guild for the Relief for Westie fundraiser. Thank you to our neighbor guild for their service to a community devastated by a tornado.

-Ruth Prescott has created a unique quilt for her granddaughter. Yes, this delightful pink quilt is adorned with Barbie doll clothes and will be a perfect adornment in her granddaughter's room!

-Vickie Greenwood participated in Michelle Chrisler's Bargello workshop in July and has already completed her bargello quilt. Way to go, Vickie! Vickie also shared a Christmas quilt with cheerful houses amid giant snowflakes and a wool applique wall hanging of sheep for her grands who raise a small flock. (Yes, that is our program presenter, Scott Flanagan holding up Vickie's sheep.)
