Laura Piland, from Smithville, Missouri, entertained the guild with her engaging suggestions  to achieve "Quick Quilts and Fast Finishes." Her techniques are obviously effective as evidenced by the astounding number of projects she completes while home schooling and designing new patterns.  Learn more about Laura and view a selection of her patterns on her website Slice of Pi Quilts. In addition to hearing her program, guild members were able to take advantage of her inspiration by selecting from the array of her tempting patterns for sale. 

In the gallery below you will see Laura's Exploding Heart Quilt which has been the #1 selling pattern in the world for three years.  Also look for an example of one of her Pi Quilts with varied colored circles representing numbers in the Pi sequence:  3.14159...  Other favorites that were shown include Flurry, High Tide, Waterfall, Party Pop, and Book Ends.
